He follows.
That cloud, that beast
that hunch and heft, his mist where
I lose myself.

And I follow, almost in stasis but
dogged.
Determined to ‘scape this distress,
Since near enough 2 score years
and ten.
But he n’er lets alone, with bared teeth
and snarl.
