Ecologies of Care

by Lydia Rose

Ecologies of Care portrays the richness of an abolitionist society in which all human and non-human life can flourish. The river of resources nourishes a diverse botanical community to represent how diverse communities bloom when they are resourced equitably through abolitionist relations and infrastructure. Apothecary-style labels for the medicines of mutual aid and transformative justice offer ingredients and directions to create a life-affirming world, where the root causes of illness, premature death and health inequality can be remedied. Teardrops and love hearts decorate the page to symbolise the crucial role of grief and love in our revolutionary transformation into a caring and collaborative society that nurtures all life as if it was sacred.
